Professional maids in anime always make me wonder: do people actually go shopping in maid outfits in Japan? πŸ€”

Anime & Rutabagas • 1 year ago

It’s Japan....

You’ll be surprised lol

UncleMoe • 1 year ago

In Japan, i wouldn't be surprised if i see a Velociraptor and an Octopus walking together in the streets.

Noah Winns-Cromer • 1 year ago

Well, Tohru's a thing.

....oh, you mean ACTUAL maids. Yeah, I'm curious myself.

Archie Andrew's 1000 • 1 year ago

Shame here πŸ€”

Anime & Rutabagas • 1 year ago

Imagine getting fired and your boss start singing the reasons why lol

wwlaos • 1 year ago

Yeah, the after-credits scene kind of ruined the episode, for me. :/

The whole thing was beautiful and emotional and I loved it and then... they just completely invalidated it. -__-

Anime & Rutabagas • 1 year ago

A bittersweet episode but with a sweet ending lol

Judgment526 • 1 year ago

Yeah, definitely feels like a cop out after all that buildup...

Divine demon GOD Aris • 1 year ago

She should have returned in episode 11 or 12

Asagrimmr • 1 year ago

I mean it's not like the emotional development is undone

I11110 • 1 year ago

Yep the after-credits turned it into the pointless episode, where nothing changed if the events described there had not happened. Sorta if you skip it, you lose nothing in the story development.

Asagrimmr • 1 year ago

my brother in christ it's a slice of life anime

I11110 • 1 year ago

In real life events do happen- people move out, you meet new people, instead of strictly static relationship.

That deus-ex-machina ending just undone the episode progression in favor of keeping the same number of introduced characters.

PS. Slice-of-life where people heal each other with singing, and do not need anatomy, chemistry or have medical qualifications at all. That's super-realistic. -))))

Asagrimmr • 1 year ago

In real life events do happen, events that are the inverse of other events are themselves events, meaning they also happen

oh no the episode progression is undone this is really going to ruin the world pacing they had going after the school festival episode!!

I'm not sure what you're trying to say with that PS line but it's mostly wrong so I can't be too bothered anyway

I11110 • 1 year ago

LOL, you realized that just wrote 3 paragraph reply to tell that you "can't be bothered anyway"?

Yeah, IRL people decide to move abroad, spend their money in doing so (BTW, that's another continuity error - seems that Aoi wage wasn't high), then return back and everything happen the over course of single episode, which seems to be just couple of days.

Asagrimmr • 1 year ago

"Can't be too bothered" trying to decipher it since it's superficial faults are so glaring I don't need to dissect is any further

Yeah moving and moving back in a couple of days does seem pretty unrealistic considering they heal by projecting emotions over voice

Divine demon GOD Aris • 1 year ago

the unrealistic part was that she didnt even contact the pianist guy before moving there

Usami Mizuki • 1 year ago

it's not really pointless episode.
They became more open to each other.

Pandorable King. • 1 year ago

.....I wished I didnt watch it

joblesshobo • 1 year ago

Noah Winns-Cromer • 1 year ago

OK folks, time for your weekly dosage of healing in song form! Here's Avalanche by Christan French!

I had a thought
That turned into a thing
A noise up in my head
Then it turned into a ring
I thought I'd always love you
But now I can't
Oh, I started an avalanche

Reimi is glad Aoi is back

Amano erika. • 1 year ago

Very good Reimi-centric episode. She's the most interesting character besides Kana.

I loved her performance.

This looks delicious. :3
Lots of drama with Aoi. Well, I'm glad she came back after all. :)

Anime & Rutabagas • 1 year ago

Reimi in the maid outfit 10/10 lol

Noah Winns-Cromer • 1 year ago

Kana and Kobayashi-san will make good friends talking about maids!

...until Kana mentions she like maids with cat ears, or Kobayashi gets drunk, whatever comes first. XD

Noah Winns-Cromer • 1 year ago

Happy birthday to Tomoe Koga from Bunny Girl Senpai!

Spoderman • 1 year ago

monday morning and this ep got me crying like a bich

Noah Winns-Cromer • 1 year ago

Yeah...stick to getting horny over Mistress, Reimi.

Still, good effort on housekeeping! XD

Ohms Nuttachai • 1 year ago

Seriously, though. Reimi suddenly turned that serious conversation between her and Aoi to a musical really killed the mood for me. I don't think that was necessary, IMO.

And Hanamori Yumiri as a maid again? I already lost count of her maid roles at this point lol

Pandorable King. • 1 year ago

Im not crying, Im not crying Q_Q
ok im crying.

Esenpai • 1 year ago

Wait did she not contact him before going overseas? lol

Kanon • 1 year ago

All the suffering during the episode meant nothing, NOTHING!!

ramenmen • 1 year ago

It doesn't make sense how she spent all her money there, i mean there must be some sort of acceptance letter, you don't just go there without confirmation. I guess it makes no sense because they just want to give a sweet ending

Divine demon GOD Aris • 1 year ago

yeah does seem strange that aoi didnt even talk to the guy before leaving

Music Anime Lovers!!! • 1 year ago

thats because Aoi lied about prof move to Tokyo next month.. she never goes to America, she just stayed at hotel and spent all her money for living..

1. nobody move to Tokyo next month after sending hundred letters to invite someone
2. if its really happen, Aoi will be very happy and messages Reimi (not meet her in real life to talk about come back)
3. Aoi can't let Reimi stay alone, you can see she asking Kana and Hibiki about Reimi eating well or not (after 1 day kicked out)
4. also Aoi works for Reimi's parents and i don't think you can easily move to America with out talking to your boss and leave your boss's daughter alone at home
5. Aoi's expression didn't looks happy when she talk about prof move to Tokyo
6. Aoi cried when she leave Reimi's house (maybe she also heard Reimi crying), if she really happy to chase her dreams, she won't cry when she leave

i believe author didn't make Aoi looks happy is intentioned to give us a hints about she lied to Reimi..

ramenmen • 1 year ago

I understand your point but it's still just your assumption and overthinking, there's no proof of what you said. And you are reading way too much into it, I'll give you my opinion when I read what you wrote, it feels like you are making a story of how you wanted it to be

Music Anime Lovers!!! • 1 year ago

i think you need to read more novel first.. if you read novel, you will understand not everything must talked on movie.. like expression, hidden feeling, health condition, etc.. in novel they can wrote "i feel bit angry after i heard what he said" in movie, actor just show angry face without pointed he was angry.. that's why most people said Harry Potter novel was better than movie.. because the movie failed to show the little detail in the novel.. i don't know you just innocent or you try to avoid every bad ending and choose that miracle ending..

Now this is heartbreaking 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭

Judgment526 • 1 year ago

Watch the post-credits and say that again.

JUSTIGNOREME • 1 year ago

Glad I hold back my tearsπŸ˜…πŸ˜…πŸ˜…

Some Maid have work

Music Anime Lovers!!! • 1 year ago

Aoi actually lying about prof coming to Tokyo.. she just can’t leave Reimi after heard her crying when she go home.. if she leaves Reimi, then Reimi never go back to her normal self.. you can see Aoi come back but not 100% happy..

ChosenOneX • 1 year ago

To be honest, I didn't expect this kind of episode. I mean I didn't expect an episode to be centered around Reimi's maid Aoi. Anyways, it was a great episode which gave is some nice backstory about Reimi and Aoi, and how they got to know each other. I appreciate Reimi for being mature enough to let go of Aoi and letting her study abroad. The parting song was beautiful (like all the songs in this anime - they are very well done and they serve their purpose). We all knew that Reimi was holding back her tears when Aoi left. It must've been really hard for both of them.
I was so glad that Aoi actually returned in the end. Some may say that it isn't so good plotwise, but I loved it. It actually made me tear up - I was so happy seeing them together, because I think they might need each other. I'm also glad for Aoi, because her pianist is now in Tokyo - so everything ended as well as it could.

Also - Kana is a woman of culture for loving nekomimi maids.

Crow • 1 year ago

Such a beautiful yet pointless episode because of after-credits, but atleast Reimi won't be sad, she really loves Aoi-san like part of her family. 🧑😭

Anime Freak • 1 year ago

Oi dont get me hype with maids and then play with heart like that!
